Fork & Stix: A Taste of Thailand

ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – St. Louis is fortunate to have a relatively large number of decent to very good Thai restaurants, and Fork & Stix, a little out-of-the-way joint located at 549 Rosedale Ave, in the Delmar Loop, is considered on the upper end of that scale.
The family owned restaurant, just steps away from the Moonrise Hotel, serves up fresh, authentic Thai cuisine.  The owners, the Wanna family, are originally from the northern part of Thailand, and unlike most Thai restaurants here or anywhere else, their dishes are a reflection of the rich culture of that region.

The chefs are always exploring different tastes with the finest herbs and spices shipped straight from Thailand, and the highest quality of locally sourced produce and meats.  From the chicken Khao Soi, a northern Thai noodle dish with a rich broth of coconut curry and regional aromatics like lemongrass, galangal, to the Muu Ping with marinated grilled pork on sticks served with sticky rice, you won’t be disappointed.  They even serve Khoa Soi, not easily found at all Thai restaurants.

It’s a small restaurant only seating 35, but there is also outdoor seating available.  Listed as one of the Top 10 Asian Restaurants in St. Louis last month, this casual and intimate dining experience will not disappoint.  Expect great service, very high quality & great tasting food and consistency.

  • Hung Lay Curry – Northern Thai Sweetportk Belly and pork shoulder curry with palm sugar, turmeric, peanuts and fresh ginger served with Jasmine rice, Chiang Mai Classic – $9.95
  • Yakisoba – Stir fry Japanese egg noodles, carrots and onions in Yakisoba sauce – Shrimp or Beef $11.50 or Chicken, Pork or Vegetables $8.95
  • Tempura Udon Soup – Udon noodle soup serve in light soy broth, mushrooms, topped with green onions and seaweed. Served with tempura shrimp – $8.95
  • Khao Pad – Fried rice with onions, carrot, green onions, eggs and soy sauce – Chicken, Pork or Vegetable – $8.95 or Shrimp or Beef – $11.50
