Many homeowners, when selling their homes, ask themselves, “Do I really need an agent?” The answer is, “Yes,” said Vedda. “For example, pricing a home can be far more challenging than most sellers assume. Sellers should understand how to price their home to coincide with where buyers are at in the marketplace, and a pro can help them do this.”
Many licensed Realtors also have working relationships with professional home stagers. “I consider my services premium because I have a professional stager that comes in and gives the seller ideas of what to do with what they currently have in their house by rearranging and getting rid of things,” noted Vedda. “They help the sellers make their house more marketable. I also have a professional photographer who does photography and I feel that is something that is very much needed.”
Another important factor is negotiating. “You don’t want to negotiate directly with a for sale by owner; you want to have a knowledgeable professional represent your interests,” added Vedda. Having a licensed real estate professional is necessary for navigating the market.
“Selling a home is one of the most important transactions in the lives of many people,” concluded Vedda. “Because of that, it is important that you work with someone you trust and feel is a market expert.”
