St Louis is exploding with excitement created by the Blues wining the Stanley Cup

St Louis, MO (STL.News) – St. Louis residents and sports fans are exploding with excitement that launched when the Blues won a historical event, winning the Stanley Cup for the first time in history of the team.  Parties continue across the region, parades are planned and even local bakeries are helping fans celebrate with popular baked goods being created in honor and celebration of this victory.

Jilly’s Cupcake Bar, an award-winning cupcake shop, located in University City, is offering championship cupcakes that sold more than 200 cupcakes Thursday after the victory game Wednesday night.  You can purchase the cupcakes at Jilly’s Cupcake Bar, located at 8509 Delmar Blvd, located at 170 and Delmar Blvd, or online.

Missouri Governor Mike Parson requested that the State Capitol be lighted blue to celebrate the victory.  This is one of the best things that have happened to the city in years.  It has helped pull the community together, creating a new community atmosphere, which has been lacking since the riots.

Hopefully, the community will continue this new attitude even after the excitement ceases and refocus on growing the community and looking out for each other, rather than fighting each other for self-serving reasons.  The Blues won because they worked together as a team and the community can accomplish great things adopting the attitude of The Blues.

Stay tuned for this weekend upcoming events to honor this historical St. Louis event.
