Residents, staff and administrators at Deupree Cottages – a luxurious skilled nursing home on the campus of the premier senior living community, Deupree House in Hyde Park – have earned industry-leading accords from one of the most respected voices in the senior-care continuum, the Ohio Department of Aging.
The Ohio Department of Aging recently released the results of its annual survey, “2018 Ohio Nursing Home Family Satisfaction Survey.” Deupree Cottages, an expansion of the prestigious Deupree House campus on Erie Avenue, earned the second-highest overall family satisfaction score, out of 981 entries.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition. It is an honor to be so highly ranked by the family members of the people we care for,” said Laura Lamb, president and CEO of ERS (http://www.episcopalretirement.com).
The Ohio Department of Aging, with Scripps Gerontology Center at Miami University, conducts the annual survey using a sample of nursing home and residential care facility residents’ family members or friends. Respondents are queried on activities, administrative personnel and policies, meals and dining, direct care, nursing and a multitude of related factors.
Deupree Cottages were built in 2009 with a non-traditional mantra: a person-centered approach to care, which allows residents who need nursing assistance to live on their own terms, free from restrictive routines. Residents plan and eat their own meals on their own time; wake up in the morning when they wish, and choose their own daily activities. For more information on the report, details are available on the ODA website.
