Missouri News: Urgent Weather Message for St. Louis area from the National Weather Service

ST LOUIS, MO – The National Weather Service published the following Hazardous Weather Outlook:

For the following areas: Adams IL-Audrain MO, Bond IL, Boone MO, Brown IL, Calhoun IL, Callaway MO, Clinton IL, Cole MO, Crawford MO, Fayette IL, Franklin MO, Gasconade MO, Greene IL, Iron MO, Jefferson MO, Jersey IL, Knox MO, Lewis MO, Lincoln MO, Macoupin IL, Madison IL, Madison MO, Marion IL, Marion MO, Moniteau MO, Monroe IL, Monroe MO, Montgomery IL , Montgomery MO, Osage MO, Pike IL, Pike MO, Ralls MO, Randolph IL, Reynolds MO, Saint Charles MO, Saint Clair IL, Saint Francois MO, Saint Louis City MO, Saint Louis MO, Sainte Genevieve MO, Shelby MO, Warren MO, Washington IL and Washington MO.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of eastern and
central Missouri as well as west central and southwest Illinois.

Accumulating snow is expected for most of the region with the heaviest accumulations set for parts of northeast and central
Missouri and west-central Illinois, where up to 10 inches of snow
are expected.  In addition, strong gusty winds from the northwest will result in blizzard conditions in this area. Please reference the
Blizzard Warning in effect for more information.

There is some potential for accumulating snow for areas further
southeast of the Blizzard Warning, towards the Saint Louis metro
area.

Additionally, wind gusts of up to 45 mph from the northwest are
expected across the remainder of the area through tonight.
