Missouri Lottery News: $50,000 Prize Winner, Joshua Temm, in South St. Louis County

FENTON, MO (STL.News) A Fenton resident is celebrating a recent Missouri Lottery win.  Joshua Temm won a $50,000 top prize on a $3 “Block-O” Scratchers ticket.  Temm purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven, 260 Hoffmeister Ave. in Lemay, and he claimed the prize at the Lottery’s St. Louis regional office on Feb. 21.

Introduced on Jan. 2, “Block-O” features prizes ranging from $3 to $50,000, with more than $8.8 million in total prizes remaining.  Temm claimed one of seven $50,000 prizes available in the game.  Lottery tickets can be scanned on the Lottery’s mobile app or on self-service Check-A-Ticket machines at retail locations to determine if a ticket is a winner.

In the most recent fiscal year, more than $25.2 million went to education programs in St. Louis County based on Lottery sales.  Players in St. Louis County won more than $161.1 million in prizes, and retailers received an additional $15.4 million in commissions and bonuses.
