Russia ready for prolonged conflict in Ukraine as attack entered ‘most active’ phase
Two senior Russian officials have signaled that Moscow is ready for a prolonged conflict in Ukraine.
A Ukrainian defense ministry spokesman also said the offensive had entered its “most active” phase.
Russia has been trying to capture the twin cities of Severodonetsk and Lysychansk in Ukraine’s easternmost region, Luhansk.
