Secretary Michael R. Pompeo’s Call with Taliban Deputy Mullah Baradar

Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo met via video conference yesterday with Taliban Deputy and chief negotiator Mullah Baradar to discuss implementation of the U.S.-Taliban Agreement.  The Secretary made clear the expectation for the Taliban to live up to their commitments, which include not attacking Americans.
