Missouri Lottery News: St. Louis Metro Coworkers Win $50,000

St Louis, MO (STL.News) – A group of five St. Louis-area coworkers now have one more thing in common — they collectively won a $50,000 Powerball prize after going in together to buy tickets.

The prize was claimed at the Missouri Lottery’s St. Louis office by: Lori Darrah and Lisa Schumpe, both of O’Fallon; John Hawkins of St. Peters; Tracy Judge of Maryland Heights; and Ronnica Laughlin of St. Charles.  They won the $50,000 prize by matching four of the five white-ball numbers and the Powerball number drawn on May 29.

The coworkers’ winning ticket was purchased at Petro Mart, 14024 Olive St. Road, in Chesterfield.

It was the 27th $50,000 winning Powerball ticket purchased by Missouri players in 2019, and it was one of two such winners sold for the May 29 drawing.

Powerball drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday nights at 9:59 p.m.  Tomorrow night’s jackpot is an estimated $92 million.

In the last fiscal year, players in St. Louis County won more than $161.1 million in Missouri Lottery prizes.  Retailers in the county received more than $15.4 million in the form of bonuses and commissions, and an additional $25.2 million went to educational programs.  For a detailed list of programs that benefited in the county, visit MOLottery.com.
