Table Rock Lake is a very popular tourist attraction located in the town of Branson, Missouri. It is an artificially made lake that is spread out along The Ozarks located in southwestern Missouri and northwestern Arkansas. Constructed between the years 1954 and 1958, on the east side of Table Rock Lake is the Table Rock Dam, as well as other marinas that are scattered along the reservoir.

There are three primary rivers that flow into Table Rock Lake. They are the White River, James River and Kings River. Of the three, the only river that flows out of Table Rock Lake is the White River. Table Rock Lake is classified as a reservoir.

Table Rock Lake has a surface area of 43,100 acres. Its max depth is 220 feet and it has a water volume of 3,462,000 acre/feet. Table Rock Lake has a surface elevation of 915 feet.
The temperature of Table Rock Lake varies depending on the season. In Summer, temperatures range from 85 to 90 °F or 32 °C. In Fall, temperatures range from 71 to 82 °F or 28 °C. In Winter, temperatures range from 42 to 47 °F or 8 °C. And in Spring, temperatures range from 56 to 77 °F or 25 °C.
The reservoir was originally constructed between 1954 and 1958 as a means to control flooding from the White River which flows both in and out of Table Rock Lake.
Access to Table Rock Lake is available to the public and all visitors through Table Rock State Park, located in the town on Branson. Table Rock State Park was constructed in 1959, a year after the lake was built. Its highest elevation is at 889 feet. The park comprises over 365 acres of land from both Taney County and Stone County. Table Rock Lake lays along the southern side of Branson. Visitors may come and enjoy the park and its offerings, as well as Table Rock Lake. The large park facility also includes a marina, campgrounds, hiking trails and designated areas for bicycling. The full service marina available at Table Rock State Park also includes a boat launch area, as well as a cafe, boat rental and scuba dive shop. The campgrounds come equipped with full RV hookups and a yurt, perfect for all adventurers looking for an outdoor getaway. Table Rock State Park also is provides fishing access, swimming access, a picnic area and an amphitheater. It should be noted that while swimming areas are available, there is no designated beach area. Table Rock State Park also includes a dump station.
Along located on Table Rock Lake along the Shell Knob, Missouri section is Area71, a recreational vehicle resort. Area71 also includes a restaurant and general store. Both the restaurant and general store underwent a rebuild in 2016.
Table Rock State Park is open all year round from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. For more information, visitors may stop by the Park Office, which is generally open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily except during the Summer months when it is opened from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
