St Louis Media, LLC launches MissouriWine.Directory
All of the wineries and a few vineyards in Missouri are listed in the directory including their name, address, map, phone, pic (if one was available) and video’s (if one was available). It is an excellent source for consumers to obtain information, article and even the history of Missouri wine industry.
“We want to be the “go to” source for tourist and Missouri residents that are seeking information about our local Missouri wineries. It was not an easy task as many wineries and especially vineyards don’t publicize mush information about themselves and some don’t even have a website,” says Myers. This site will be revised frequently as we continue to search and discover new content and information about the rising Missouri wine industry.
Consumers can find, rate and post reviews while easily finding their new destinations. Wineries can subscribe to enhance listing to include additional pictures, videos, links to their website and social sites, lengthy description and historical information about their winery and more.
Additionally, as with most consumer based websites there is advertisement space available for a reasonable fee. “While we are supporting the Missouri wine industry, the success of this project will largely depend on the support we get in return from the wineries, but we realize that we have to generate the online traffic to make that happen,” says Smith, content mgr of Missouri Wine Directory.
The dedication to the Missouri wine industry is obviously a serious task as the next site that is online, but pending Google News indexing is MOBev.News. That is a news site exclusively for the winery/vineyard, brewery and distilling industry of Missouri. They will distribute news via Google News and Bing News. Currently, Google News is the worlds largest news aggregator. “It should be approved and indexed by April 15th,” says Smith.
