Missouri Lottery News: Mexico Man, Don Feger Lucky in 'Lotto' winning $342,000

Missouri Lottery News: Mexico Man, Don Feger Lucky in ‘Lotto’ winning $342,000

MEXICO, MO – After walking into a local retail store and asking if they’d had any Lottery winners lately, Don Feger got a strange gut feeling when the clerk responded that the store down the street actually did just sell a large winning ticket.  Knowing he had purchased tickets at the other location as well, Feger decided to pull together his six unchecked tickets to see if luck was on his side.

It was. The Show Me Cash ticket he bought at East Edge Express, 4787 E. Liberty St. in Mexico, matched all five numbers drawn on May 11 to win the $342,000 jackpot prize.

“About the third ticket in, it said, ‘Claim at Lottery Office,’” Feger recalled.   “I’ve played enough to know that had to be good.”

Feger is no stranger to winning a big Lottery prize.   He also won $100,000 playing Powerball on Valentine’s Day in 2000.

He plans to pay bills and help his businesses with this latest prize money.  Feger owns Apollo Portapotties and Donny’s Portapotties.

“It’s a big stress relief, is what it is,” he said, summing up his plans.
The winning Show Me Cash number combination on May 11 was 13, 23, 24, 30 and 34.   Feger used Quick Pick to choose his numbers.

Show Me Cash is a $1 daily Draw Game with a jackpot that starts at $50,000 and grows until someone wins.   So far in 2018, there have been 16 winning jackpot tickets with an average prize of more than $215,000.  Tonight’s Show Me Cash jackpot is estimated at $272,000.

All current Missouri Lottery Draw Games tickets can be scanned on the Lottery’s mobile app to determine if a ticket is a winner.  Current and historical winning numbers can also be found at MOLottery.com.
