US President Joe Biden has announced the largest single military aid package for Ukraine since it was invaded by Russia, pledging an extra $1bn in support.
US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin said he would “move heaven and earth” to ensure Ukraine gets the weapons it needs.
The situation is seen as a political tightrope for Biden, as US citizens struggle with the rising cost of living.
