Exclusive, Designer Labels for Less at Women’s Closet Exchange

ST. LOUIS, MO/April 2, 2017 (STL.News) — Dressing well isn’t just a matter of personal taste.  It’s a matter of style, of first impressions, and of self-expression.  Well made clothing fits better, looks better, and boosts confidence.  It feels great to know your clothes look good.  But wearing designer labels can put a real dent in your pocketbook.  Fortunately St. Louis is home to a nationally recognized consignment boutique that specializes in designer resale.  Women’s Closet Exchange at 11575 Gravois Road (at Sappington) in South County specializes in bringing you the very best designer labels at affordable prices.

Women’s Closet Exchange is the boutique founded by resale queen Sue McCarthy, and the setting for the Style Network show Resale Royalty.  The shop’s current owner, Krista Tolbert continues to bring those great brands and styles to customers at a fraction of the cost of retail.  She goes a step further by offering her special “Pamper Me” personal wardrobe styling services, plus private shopping parties and in-home “closet” evaluations.

Krista has also recently retained St. Louis Media, LLC to redesign her entire website.  She’s also adding Ecommerce which will make shopping even easier for customers.  They will ship items all over the United States, not just to the St. Louis area.  Be sure and follow them on Facebook and Instagram to purchase items” from Women’s Closet Exchange and they will be glad to ship it to you.

As we transition into spring, Tolbert is excited to share her special collection of “New Arrivals” made up of clothing and accessories from US designers, just in time for the Spring Resale Bus Tour.  Tolbert says she’s excited to be participating in the event, which gives customers the chance to see St. Louis’ best high-end resale stores and purchase the fashions they love at even bigger discounts.  Women’s Closet Exchange is the only resale boutique in St. Louis that will be featuring local designer items such as shoes and jewelry.

The Spring Resale Bus Tour is an annual guided shopping tour of the hottest resale boutiques in town (organized by the Vault).  This year’s event is Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so this is the last week shoppers can get tickets for the tour.  Tickets are $49 and include a day of shopping the best designer labels in the best resale shops in St. Louis.  There will be discounts and treats in every boutique along the way, and a seated lunch.  Local designers will be showcasing their items in stores.  Tolbert says her boutique will have a large selection of new arrivals that will be available in time for the tour.

Currently she has two designers she’s showcasing.  Claire Flowers (www.claireflowers.com) is a local fashion shoe designer who has created the perfect pair of stilettos (functional luxury).  Her line includes pumps in two heel heights, plus sandals and great fashion colors to complement any outfit.  Women’s Closet Exchange carries her new sandal line as well as basic pumps.

She’s also showcasing D & M Designs, a local jewelry designer specializing in one of a kind statement necklaces and earrings created with semi precious and rare stones.  They are designed and created locally in St. Louis and only sold through specialty boutiques.  Tolbert has a large selection of necklaces in stock.

If you can’t make the Spring Resale Bus Tour, you can still find the designer brands you love at amazing prices everyday at The Women’s Closet Exchange.  They’re open Monday — Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 am to 5:00 p.m.
