Tilles Park Winter Wonderland-32 Years of Merry-Making

St. Louis, MO/December 7, 2017 (STL.News) –Tilles Park in St. Louis County is 75 acres of natural beauty throughout the year, but it especially takes on a new look and life of its own during the holiday season.  This is when the park is transformed into a Winter Wonderland lined with over a million glittering lights and a number of remarkable holiday scenes.

Over the past 32 years through the Christmas season, Tilles Park’s Winter Wonderland has earned the reputation of being somewhat of a local legend and a must as a favorite tradition in the St. Louis area.  It is considered to be one of the most popular Christmas light displays in the region.

Whether guests view the animated lighting displays by car or carriage ride, it’s a splendid sight to see.

What better way to totally light up your holidays? Most people drive through the sparkling splendor of Winter Wonderland, but if you want to make your visit extra special, visitors can book a horse-drawn carriage ride.

You can take a carriage ride every night, but on Saturdays, only carriages are allowed.  You must make a reservation in advance to ride in a carriage; the cost varies depending on the size of the carriage and the number of people in your group.  A romantic ride in a carriage that holds a couple is $55.  A small, private carriage for up to 6 is $80.  A large, private carriage for up to 9 is $120 and a large group carriage for up to 24 people costs $12 per person.  Tickets are available online at MetroTix.

Winter Wonderland is open for vehicular traffic Sunday thru Friday from 5:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.  Admission fees are $10.00 for a Family vehicle, $20.00 for a Limousine, $40.00 for a Commercial transport van and $90.00 for a Tour bus.  You must pay cash; no credit or debit cards are accepted.  You don’t need a reservation to drive through the display.

Bring your family and friends along and be dazzled by the 2017 Winter Wonderland in Tilles Park.  The spectacular show lasts until December 30, but is closed on Christmas Eve.

Winter Wonderland is centrally located in Tilles Park in west St. Louis County.  The best way for visitors to get to the park is to take Interstate 64/U.S. Highway 40 to the McKnight Road exit.  Go south on McKnight Road; the park is at the intersection of McKnight and Litzsinger roads.  All vehicles must enter Winter Wonderland from McKnight Road and exit via Litzsinger Road.
