U.S. Marshals Service News: Marshals and Springfield Police Department Arrest Vermont Fugitive, Kyle Michael Stevens

Burlington, VT (STL.News) – The U.S. Marshals Service and the Springfield Police Department arrested a fugitive who had an active Vermont arrest warrant, dating back to December 2018.

Kyle Michael Stevens, 29, of Springfield, Vermont was arrested on March 12, 2019 when approached by Deputy U.S. Marshals and the Springfield Police Department.

On February 26, 2019, Springfield Probation and Parole requested the assistance of the US Marshals Service with the apprehension of fugitive Stevens.  Stevens was wanted by the Springfield Police Department for violating his terms of probation stemming from a lewd and lascivious conduct with a child conviction.  Stevens is a category 2 sex offender required to register in the State of Vermont for 10 years.

On March 12, 2019, US Marshals and members of the Springfield Police Department apprehended Stevens on Pearl Street in Springfield, VT.  Stevens was actively evading arrest from law enforcement until apprehended by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Officers from the Springfield Police Department.

Stevens was lodged on the Vermont arrest warrant and it is anticipated that he will be seen in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division on March 12, 2019.

This arrest was the result of great police work by the U.S. Marshals and the Springfield Police Department.
