2nd Annual Ryan J Candice Memorial Golf Tournament

The 2nd Annual Ryan J Candice Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 19, 2017 from 11 am to 6 pm

ST. LOUIS, MO/June 25, 2017 (STL.News) Ryan J Candice Memorial Golf Tournament – Project Wake Up was created after Ryan Candice took his life on June 19, 2014 with the sole intention to eradicate the stigma towards mental health.

This event was created to raise funds for the distribution of an upcoming documentary film and help fund the Ryan J Candice Memorial Scholarship, which is anticipated to be released 2018-2019 school year.

In loving memory of Ryan J Candice, the 2nd Annual Ryan J Candice Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 11 am to 6 pm at The Courses at Forest Park, 6141 Lagoon Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63112.  It is a 4 player scramble with beer, lunch and dinner included, provided by Candicci’s Restaurant and Bar, Ballwin, Missouri.

Cost to participate is $125 per player or $500 per team.  Early Bird price is $110 per player or $440 per team.  Early Bird pricing ends July 9, 2017.  Refunds are available 7 days prior to the tournament.

Project Wake Up is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization with the mission to bring awareness of suicide on college campuses.  According to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for Americans age 10 to 24.  It is happening on college campuses at an increasing alarming rate.

After the directors fund and complete the production of the film they will fight to have it shown at colleges and universities around the nation as part of orientation programs and mental health awareness events and distribute it in order to get as many eyes on it as possible.

If you can’t make the golf tournament Wake Up accepts donations on their GoFundMe page.
