The Art of Cafe Mochi, St. Louis, MO
ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – Café Mochi is not just one of the hippest little restaurants in the Tower Grove areas, it’s a must if you’re looking for awesome Sushi, Japanese and Asian cuisine. Especially if you appreciate art. Their dishes are put together in the most artistic manner, one more beautiful than the other. They’re perfectionists when it comes to presentation.
This modern café , complete with designed in striking purples, pinks and metallics, is a unique experience from some of the other South Grand places. Two words you hear from customers most often is “fresh” and “quick.” And in this bustling little area, it’s a great place to people watch, whether you’re seated upstairs, downstairs, or on the spacious outdoor patio.
Besides their regular menu, they’re known for an awesome Happy Hour. Café Mochi has a small selection of bottled beers on special, and a small but interesting selection of fun, fruity cocktails. A favorite is the Pink Geisha drink, a milky, pink dreamlike confection that’s quite delicious. But their big draw is the half-off sushi rolls.
Other great reviews come in on the White Tiger sushi, Squid Salad, and the Octopus, Tuna, Philly, and Asparagus Rolls. Another favorite getting raves is a combination of salmon, tempura shrimp, crab, cream cheese, asparagus in a roll topped with broiled scallops in a spicy mayo sauce finished with a drizzle of eel sauce. If you come expecting good sushi at a very affordable price, then you will not be disappointed.
