Seoul Taco hits the road with second food truck
ST. LOUIS, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – Seoul Taco Owner, Korean-American David Choi, doesn’t pretend to say he invented the idea of a Korean BBQ Taco, but he’s done a whole lot to make it exceptional! During travels to world class cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, he got his first taste and was hooked. So he came back to St. Louis, made some for his family and friends,…and the rest is history.
His motto, “We put the “Seoul” into every bite,” is the main reason he won’t compromise with flavor or the quality of his food. He’s been working hard at trying to brand these culinary flavors as part of the culture in this city. And beginning tomorrow, Choi is continuing on that mission by launching the popular Korean-Mexican chain’s second truck.
Besides the new red truck reaching more customers, Choi, also hopes to serve a good cause. He believes there are a number of area communities without nearby grocery store access, or without transportation that allows for access to fresh food.
To help spread the word, he is donating all sales made from that truck on Mondays to the St. Louis MetroMarket, a converted bus that delivers fresh produce to those in need in St. Louis City. He and MetroMarket Founder, Jeremy Gross, met through church, and have been partnering to raise awareness about the need for resources in under-served areas ever since. Expect the new Seoul Taco truck to operate daily.
