Sardella Restaurant Opens
CLAYTON, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) Sardella Restaurant Opens its Doors Sardella Restaurant has officially opened its doors on November 2nd, 2016. Chef and Owner Gerard Craft, of Pastaria, Taste, Brasserie and Porano Pasta is the man behind the restaurant.
Located at 7734 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, Missouri, 63105, in the space that once was occupied by Niche, another restaurant of Craft’s that closed early 2016.
Craft got the word and food out by going on the road in the Seoul Taco Truck. He served the lunch menu from Sardella and the proceeds went to the St. Louis MetroMarket, a converted bus that delivers fresh produce to those in need in St. Louis City.
The owner of Seoul Taco, David Choi, had purchased a new truck and kindly loaned out his old one to Craft.
Sardella Restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. With opening it will be dinner, then on November 3rd breakfast and down the road the full menu. The restaurant food will be fresh and modern seasonal fare inspired by old-world Italian techniques.
Foods like: pistachio white-bean “hummus” with charred bread, house made rolls accompanied with black garlic butter and gnocco firtto. The pasta dishes include potato gnocchi with sun gold tomatoes, uni carbonara w/spaghetti, mint and white wine and miso-ricotta ravioli with orange, pepitas, brown butter and tarragon.
Not looking for pasta, Sardella also has, barramundi with mussels, roasted chicken with charred broccoli and preserved lemon, stout-braised lamb neck served with fresh Italian tortillas and for the meat lovers, steak with miso butter and herb salad.
And don’t forget to save room for dessert! They are sure to make your tummy smile. Breakfast Hours are Monday through Friday 7 to 11 am. Dinner Hours are Monday through Thursday 5 to 10 pm with Fridays and Saturdays 5 to 11 pm and Sundays 5 to 9 pm.
