Ron brings to ZELUS over 20 years of experience across both the design and construction industries having led teams in BIM/CAD modeling and project management at both Exyte (formally M+W Group) and Trimble. Ron will focus on helping the AEC industry leverage VDC to improve project performance and maximize project outcomes as ZELUS helps promote this advanced technology in the marketplace.
“Throughout my career, my mission has been to help organizations build better, smarter and faster achieving best in class quality” said Nauta. “This mindset is a natural fit with ZELUS. I look forward to helping our clients think about Building Information Modeling (BIM) in new and innovative ways.”
Prior to joining ZELUS, Ron served as the North American VDC Manager for Trimble MEP, in Westminster, CO where his attention was focused on growing a VDC team within Trimble to only prove success. Preceding Trimble Ron traveled throughout the US with M+W Group focusing his attention on leading VDC teams in the Semiconductor industry.
“Ron is a leading contributor who has helped developed relationships and networks in the semiconductor and AEC space for years,” said Ken Smerz, CEO of ZELUS. “He will play a pivotal role helping our clients with understanding this technology and implementing into their building plans and projects going forward.”
Strengthening and expanding the company’s scope around BIM and VDC will complement the ongoing growth of ZELUS, which has grown substantially in recent years from its 3d laser scanning business capturing as-built conditions. ZELUS will be adding a new satellite office in Denver, CO with the new VDC expanding services, in addition to their Arizona-headquarters and their other existing locations around the United States.
“At ZELUS, we expand with evolving client demand and focus on solutions that will drive long-term value,” continued Smerz. “We are thrilled to add another veteran to our experienced team with Ron Nauta, who can help our clients gain the most from the highly collaborative BIM process.”
