Recently launched to meet millennial homebuyer needs, HomLuv.com is a revolutionary new, AI-driven home shopping platform that helps buyers find the right home in the right area and price range with customization features that they have come to expect.
Exclusive research from Builders Digital Experience (BDX), the parent firm for HomLuv.com, reveals that 32% of millennial home shoppers use social media to find design inspiration and ideas to build a new home. However, BDX research and focus groups also revealed that a high level of frustration among millennial home shoppers resulted from not being able to put these ideas into action.
“In our focus groups, millennials told us that their carefully curated collections of inspiring home images on Pinterest were a road to nowhere,” said Mark Law, vice-president of product for BDX. “In most cases, the inspiring home images that millions of users of Pinterest are saving are not from real homes available from top local home builders in a buyer’s desired area and price range.”
HomLuv solves these issues because it allows shoppers to search for homes from the inside out. Users start with the inspiration they find in images of rooms they love and then HomLuv’s AI (artificial intelligence) engine recommends actual homes that fit these desires, within the budget parameters and location that each homebuyer selects.
“HomLuv solves very important issues for millennial homebuyers,” Law said. “A recent Bank of the West study covered by CNBC revealed that 70% of millennials expressed regrets about the home they purchased. 44% said they settled for features (often in an existing home) that weren’t quite right for their needs and lifestyle.”
The same survey reported that millennials are twice as likely as baby boomer homebuyers to express buyer’s remorse.
“HomLuv solves these challenges for homebuyers of all ages, including millennials,” Law said. “The buyer selects a floor plan that meets their lifestyle and needs and then personalizes their new home – selecting their favorite options and upgrades in key product categories like appliances, cabinets, countertops and flooring.“
“In addition,” Law said, “buyers can relax knowing that their new home and the products within it are brand-new and under warranty. According to the Department of Energy, a newly built home on average is 30% more energy efficient than a home that’s five to seven years old. That saves buyers energy and cost, as well.”
According to Law, BDX focus groups revealed that these key features designed to appeal to millennials raised on Facebook and Pinterest also work equally well for baby boomers and other key segments of homebuyers.
“We designed HomLuv.com to meet the needs of millennials,” Law said, “but we’ve learned that the website truly lives up to our motto – HomLuv, Where The Perfect Home Finds You – for all buyers.”
