Throughout his seven year term with ALSAC/St. Jude, Scott had the chance to build genuine relationships with specialty vendors around the country – allowing him to offer his clients access to a regional network of suppliers and expert craftsman that others cannot.
“During my time at St. Jude, I had the honor and privilege of working alongside some of the most experienced and talented homebuilders in the entire United States,” Scott Perkins commented. “It was there that I got hands on experience with super high-efficiency green building systems like geothermal HVAC systems and solar energy, insulated concrete form building, and net zero homes, as well as other distinctive features such as custom wine cellars, smart home automation, stunning sunrooms with disappearing glass walls, hideaway rooms, cutting edge shelter/safe rooms, heated floors, premium storage spaces, and more. Every Perkins Heirloom home is tailored to the future occupants. If you can dream it, I likely have seen it done.”
Scott and April Perkins have over 20 years of combined experience working in the custom home building and real estate sectors, giving them well-rounded experience in nearly every facet of their industry.
In addition to a background in real estate development, April is dedicated to the study of interior design and how it fits the client’s needs and desires, “Too many times a person feels overpowered or pushed into a look or style that doesn’t really reflect their own individuality or lifestyle. My driving motivation is to really understand what the client wants and how they live so that our finished product is cohesive, functional and of course aesthetically delightful to the home owners.”
Often clients bring Pinterest boards, binders, and even magazine cutouts to April to show the type of home or characteristics they have been dreaming about. April loves looking through idea books with the clients to find the perfect features and extras that will make the new home more personalized and special.
“After more than a decade in corporate operations management and home building on the side,” Scott added, “I have found the satisfaction of helping people build their dream homes is the most rewarding by far.”
Using Scott’s nationwide home building experience along with April’s real estate development background and dedicated study of interior design, Perkins Heirloom Homes becomes a prospective client’s dream team in the North Mississippi custom homebuilding market.
Perkins Heirloom Homes was founded with the express purpose of helping clients enjoy their custom home build and feel highly satisfied with the finished home. “It’s all in the details” with a custom home – and Scott and April go above and beyond to make sure the client’s vision is brought to reality.
