New York News: Traffic stop leads to the arrest of Kyle W. McComsey, Michael M. Flores, recovery of an illegal firearm, narcotics seizure

FONDA, NY (STL.News) – On March 8, 2019, State Police in Fonda arrested Kyle W. Mccomsey, 29, of North Creek and Michael M. Flores, 32, of Amsterdam for possession of an illegal firearm, narcotics and marijuana possession, and resisting arrest.

At 7:55 p.m., Troopers assigned to SP Fonda observed a grey Hyundai Santa Fe traveling on Union St. in the City of Amsterdam with a suspended registration.  While interviewing the operator Mccomsey, he admitted to possessing a .38 caliber revolver, which was determined to be possessed illegally.  Additionally, a search of the vehicle yielded the seizure of a quantity of cocaine.  The passenger, Flores, was found to be in possession of marijuana and resisted arrest while be taken into custody.

Mccomsey was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th.  Flores was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Governmental Administration.  Both Mccomsey and Flores were remanded to Montgomery County Jail pending arraignment at the City of Amsterdam court.
