New York News: Traffic stop leads to arrest of Scott M. Coyle, Mark L. Mill Jr., narcotics seizure

FONDA, NY (STL.News) – On March 7, 2019, State Police in Fonda arrested Scott M. Coyle, 52, of Gloversville and Mark L. Miller Jr., 31, of Johnstown for narcotics possession.

At 9:55 p.m., Troopers assigned to SP Fonda observed a red Saturn traveling north on State Route 30 in the City of Amsterdam in violation of the traffic law.  A subsequent vehicle stop and interview of Coyle and Miller yielded inconsistencies.  A K-9 sweep and search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of heroin and crack cocaine paraphernalia.

Coyle was subsequently arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd with intent to sell and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th.  Miller was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd.  Both Coyle and Miller were arraigned and remanded to Montgomery County Jail with a return court date for the City of Amsterdam.
