CARSON CITY, NV – Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval announced today that he has appointed Ann Wilkinson Chairman of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission (PUC), effective September 17. Wilkinson will fill the unexpired term of Joe Reynolds.
“Ann is an experienced lawyer and professional who has extensive utility and administrative law experience,” Governor Brian Sandoval said. “She previously served as Assistant General Counsel to the PUC and I am confident that she will bring a strong perspective on the issues to the table and work closely with her fellow Commissioners to balance the interests of customers and shareholders.”
Wilkinson has served as Director of Human Resources at the National Council of Juvenile & Family Court Judges since May of 2017. From 2015 to 2016, she was Chairman of the Nevada Transportation Authority. Prior to that, Wilkinson was Deputy Director of the Nevada Department of Administration. From 2011 to 2013, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Governor’s Office.
Wilkinson has also worked for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, the City of Henderson, the City of Reno, the Second Judicial District Court and the Nevada Supreme Court. From 1994 to 1998, she served as an administrative attorney and later assistant general counsel at the Public Utilities Commission.
Wilkinson has a J.D. from the Seattle University School of Law and is admitted to the Nevada State Bar.
