The 2014 audit recommended that the County Commission closely monitor the county’s financial condition and take necessary steps to ensure the general revenue fund has sufficient monies and to improve the fund’s overall financial condition. The report also recommended the Commission review salaries paid to elected officials to ensure those salaries comply with state law, and evaluate if the officials were owed any amounts because of underpaid salaries.
