Missouri Lottery News: St. Charles Woman, Sandra Smith, Hopes $1.7 Million Lotto Win Will Inspire Others

ST CHARLES, MO (STL.News) – Sandra Smith matched all six numbers in the Jan. 23 Missouri Lottery Lotto drawing, winning a $1.7 million jackpot.  The St. Charles resident purchased her winning ticket from Cool Spot Liquor, 4125 S Old Hwy 94, in St. Peters.  The winning numbers for the Jan. 23 Lotto drawing were 1, 3, 8, 41, 42 and 44.

Smith said she hopes that her Lotto win will inspire others not to give up hope that good things might come their way.

“Sometimes things seem darkest right before the dawn,” she said. “But don’t give up hope.”

Lotto is the Missouri Lottery’s original in-state Draw Game, featuring jackpots that start at $1 million and grow until a player hits all six numbers.  All current Missouri Lottery tickets can be scanned on the Lottery’s mobile app or on Check-A-Ticket machines at retail locations to determine if a ticket is a winner.  Current and historical winning numbers can also be found at MOLottery.com.
