Maryland Lottery News: Prince George’s County Retailer Sells Mega Millions Ticket Worth $1 Million

MARYLAND – Friday night’s Mega Millions drawing produced a $1 million second-tier prize winner here in Maryland.  The winning ticket was sold in Prince George’s County at Lee’s Market, located at 4310 Hawthorne Road in Indian Head.

The ticket matched the five white balls that were drawn on Friday — 1, 3, 12, 22 and 42 — but did not win the jackpot because it did not match the Mega Ball number, which was 6.  It was the only second-tier winning ticket sold for the Aug. 10 drawing.  Mega Millions tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Lottery encourages the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place before claiming the prize at Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Boulevard in Baltimore.  The winner must claim within 182 days of the drawing date.

There was no jackpot winner in the Aug. 10 drawing, which means the jackpot for the next Mega Millions drawing on Aug. 14 rolls to an estimated annuity value of $75 million (before taxes), with an estimated cash value of $44.8 million (before taxes).
