Lunch at the Corner Butcher is a special treat. That’s because they start with their own fresh, natural cuts of meat piled on sandwiches in artful combinations. Take the Italian Gooey Louie. It’s melty grilled cheese with tender ham, zesty pepperoni, and sweet caramelized onions. Yum!
For a clever twist on a classic, try the Grouper Reuben. It has the makings of a traditional Reuben: rye bread, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing, but instead of corned beef, they use breaded grouper.
At the Corner Butcher they don’t just do a steak sandwich, they do filet mignon. It’s sliced thin, then topped with onions, banana peppers, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato and a horseradish aioli that brings the flavors together quite nicely.
You can get a big scoop of Grandma Bobbie’s macaroni salad on the side (she comes in daily to make it), or choose from other sides you expect to find at a good deli, creamy cole slaw, barbecue baked beans and potato salad. They have two kinds: red-skinned potato and mustard-style.

The Corner Butcher is open Tuesday-Saturday 10 am- 6:30 pm and Sundays 10 am-4 pm. They’re closed on Mondays.
