Create a New Holiday Dining Tradition – Hiro Asian Kitchen

Christmas Brunch at Hiro Asian Kitchen

St. Louis, MO/December 16, 2016 (STLRestaurant.News) – Brunch.  Some consider it the most perfect meal ever invented.  This fusion of breakfast and lunch was the brainchild of English writer Guy Beringer, who proposed it as a hangover cure in an 1895 essay on the subject.  The leisurely late morning meal has become a weekend tradition for many of us.  Holidays are no exception, especially if friends and relatives are visiting.  What could be better than brunch with family and friends on Christmas Day?  How about brunch at a chic downtown restaurant with family and friends on Christmas Day?  Hiro Asian Kitchen at 1405 Washington Ave. is the place for Christmas brunch on December 25th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Brunch is nothing new to this Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of the Washington Avenue Loft District.  They do brunch every weekend.  Hiro’s brunch menu, like everything the restaurant does, showcases the flavors of Southeast Asia while achieving the savory experience of classic comfort food.  Their award-winning brunch is inspired by traditional recipes from China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Korea and Southern regions.  Hiro Asian Kitchen’s savory interpretations of these traditional recipes are a one-of-a-kind brunch experience every Saturday and Sunday morning/afternoon.

Brunch at Hiro is a unique experience. Their gorgeous dining room is bright, sleek, modern and comfortable.  The food is a blend of creative interpretations of traditional Southeast Asian dishes, and their own special take on Western classics.  Take the brunch staple of waffles for instance.  Right now, their menu offers three kinds: the Green Tea Waffle is served with vanilla bean ice cream, seasonal fruits and coconut crème fraîche syrup; the S’Mores Waffle is spread with Nutella, then covered with “burned marshmallows,” crusted graham crackers and syrup; and Chef Bernie Lee’s take on the Southern classic chicken and waffles.  Hiro’s is Crispy Chicken Thigh & Pumpkin Pie Waffle served with honey cream cheese syrup.

They also offer Asian fusion brunch specials like Breakfast Ramen with shiitake mushrooms, house bacon, a poached egg, wheat noodles, and their delicious bone broth.  There’s also Taiwanese Chicken Fried Chicken with chunky sweet corn coulis and a farm egg, and the Hiro Slinger: bulgogi beef, spicy cheesy tater tots, chipotle mayo, and an egg over easy.  There are vegetarian options as well.

They offer a selection of exquisite wine and cocktail pairings, or enjoy your brunch with a bottomless mimosa.  They have the orange juice, milk and coffee most of us expect at breakfast and brunch.  But they also offer a variety of fun teas including Taiwanese Milk Tea, Cold Chai Tea, Jasmine Loose Green Tea, a more traditional Western style Italian Grey Loose Black Tea, and a decaf variety called Indian Rose Garden Loose Tea.

Hiro serves brunch every Saturday and Sunday, including Christmas Day, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  They’re also open for lunch Tuesday – Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and dinner Tuesday – Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday – Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sundays 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Reservations can be made online or by phone.  They are strongly recommended for Christmas brunch.

Right now Hiro has a special offer to help make your holiday cash go farther. If you buy a Hiro Gift Certificate between now and December 31st, you’ll receive a $25 gift certificate for yourself.  For every $100 you spend, you get a $25 gift certificate for yourself.  Gift certificates can be used any time, for lunch, dinner, or weekend brunch.
