Multi-Market Construction Management firm Delphi Construction announced today the completion of construction on Noquochoke Village, a $15 million affordable housing development in Westport Massachusetts. The project is owned by The Community Builders Inc. (TCB), a leading nonprofit real estate developer, owner and manager of affordable and mixed income housing. Design was provided by DBVW Architects of Providence, Rhode Island.
Work on the nearly 7 acre parcel included approximately 50,000 square feet of new construction which Delphi managed out of their Cape Cod office. This included 7 new residential buildings with a total of 50 apartments configured in a mix of one, two- and three-bedroom units, a new 3,000 square foot community center and a smaller utilities pumphouse which provides water service to the property.
“We would like to congratulate our client, The Community Builders Inc. as well as the families who will soon become residents of this outstanding new neighborhood. We are pleased to have delivered a high-quality finished product for our client and to have played even a small role in helping to bring much needed affordable housing options to the community of Westport,” said Keith Shaw, President of Delphi Construction.
Delphi Project Manager, Phil Pagani also congratulated TCB and expressed the appreciation of the project delivery team to the architect. “I would like to commend the DBVW team, not only for their wonderful design work evident in the finished buildings but also for the exceptional spirit of teamwork on display throughout the entire project. Their skill, professionalism and partner-oriented approach contributed greatly to the success of this project,” Pagani said.
“Since day one, DBVW Architects has been committed to creating well-designed affordable housing and we are thrilled to continue this work with Community Builders,” says Karissa Kuhns of DBVW Architects. “DBVW is very proud to part of this vital project that is bringing much-needed affordable housing to Westport, Massachusetts.”
“TCB is thrilled to bring 50 high quality apartment homes to local families with Noquochoke Village. We are committed to constructing and whenever possible, preserving affordable housing for families with a variety of incomes,” said Lydia Scott, project manager at TCB. “This work wouldn’t be possible without the help of equally committed partners including, Delphi and DBVW and local officials.”
