Cushman & Wakefield Expands, Adds 600 Jobs
ST. LOUIS, MO: (STL.News) – Cushman & Wakefield will be adding over 500 jobs in the St. Louis area. The commercial real estate company has announced that most of the jobs will be in Town and Country. With the creation of the new jobs, the company will qualify for Missouri incentives. The Chief Executive for the Americas stated that they are dedicated to the St. Louis community. Currently, Cushman & Wakefield employ over 800 locals. Cushman & Wakefield will consolidate its office for Global Occupier Services and Property Client Accounting groups. This group serves both global and national clients. C&W have been on a global take over for decades.
Gov. Jay Nixon is excited about the project as it represents an investment of $17 million. The governor was on site when the announcement was made in Creve Coeur at Cushman & Wakefield’s corporate services office. Back in 2015, Cushman & Wakefield was purchased for over $1.5 billion. The entire company has over 40,000 employees and currently operates with $5 billion in revenue internationally.
The Mayor and County Executive are also on board with the expansion. Cushman & Wakefield’s downtown office on Washington Avenue will see an increase of 40 jobs. Downtown St. Louis is on its own growing surge which makes this company’s growth perfect and ideal. With the expansion, there will be $150,000 in job-training and over $7 million from Missouri Works. By working with Missouri Works, the commercial real estate company will be able to utilize their program that allows employers to retain withholding tax on the new hires.
