CREVE COEUR, MO/March 5, 2017 (STL.News) Businesses are the most important component to a city and Creve Coeur (CC) is not different.  CC works hard to attract and maintain businesses for the community.  CC had 117 new businesses open in 2016 and 110 in 2015.  A complete list of new business that obtained a business license in 2016 can be found at www.creve-coeur.org/businesses2016.

Like all communities, CC encourage local residents to support local businesses, which in turns helps the city and the community prosper.

The Finance Director, Dan Smith, retired on February 28, 2017.  Smith had worked for the city of Creve Coeur since 2003.  Smith was replaced by Tracy Hansen on Monday, February 13, 2017 after approval from the City Council.

Beginning Monday, March 13th, CC will continuously cycle the city collecting limbs between .5 inches and 3 inches in diameter and more than 3 feet long.  Limbs less than 3 feet long will not be collected.  Chipping crews are limited to 15 minutes per residence pick up in order to serve all residents in a timely manner.  Collection will continue through the week of October 9th.

Leaf collection begins April 3rd.  The schedule is as follows:

  • Wards 3 & 4 – Week of April 3rd
  • Wards 1 & 2 – Week of April 10th
  • Wards 3 & 4 – Week of April 17th
  • Wards 1 & 2 – Week of April 24th

Leaves and limbs should be placed by the curb by 7 am on Monday of the scheduled week to guarantee collection.  Leaves and limbs will not be collected from the street or from common grounds.
