WASHINGTON, DC (STL.News) – Congressman Ralph Abraham, M.D., R-Alto, announced Friday that Louisiana College of Pineville, Louisiana will receive $449,982 in federal funding under the Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP).
“The education of our nation’s youth is among of my highest priorities and I’m glad to see these federal dollars coming home to Louisiana,” Abraham said. “This grant will help Louisiana College, which is located in the Fifth District, to better serve the students of Central Louisiana as they seek to broaden their academic horizons.”
The Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) was created to help institutes of higher education to become self-sufficient and build their capacity to service low-income students by strengthening their academic quality, institutional management, and fiscal stability.
This grant was awarded by the U.S. Department of Education.
Congressman Ralph Abraham, MD represents the 5th District of Louisiana.
