Dine Out For Officer Mike Flamion – Officer & Family Needs The Help of Their Community!

BALLWIN, MO: (STLRestaurant.News) – On July 8th, 2016, Ballwin, MO police officer, Mike Flamion, was shot from behind after pulling a car over for speeding.  While walking back to his car to make a records check he was shot in the neck.

Alleged shooter is Antonio Taylor, whom is in custody.  Bond was set at $500,000 and his next court date is scheduled for July 27, 2016.

Regrettably, Officer Flamion will need long-term medical care.  The response from the local community is overwhelming.  There has been a GoFundMe page created with a goal of $250,000 and there has already been almost $150,000 raised to help the family.  Lives have changed forever with this outrageous act of violence.

While this is not our typical editorial content that we write about.  We are publishing this article to help get the word out to help the family.  The local restaurant community has responded with a Dine Out that involves several area restaurants offering to donate a percentage of their sales on Monday, July 18th, 2016 to the family.  Please visit one of the following participating restaurants:

  • Applebee’s – 15%
  • McDonalds – from 5 am to 11 pm – 20%
  • Firehouse Subs – 15%
  • St. Louis Bread Company – Ballwin, Wildwood & The Valley – 20%
  • 6 North Café – 15%
  • Cecil Whittaker’s – 20%

There has been a Facebook Event page created to help promote the event.  Please visit and let’s show the world how “good” St. Louis can be.  With the increase in violence there needs to be an increase of love and compassion for those that suffer as a victims by the violence.  Please visit the GoFundMe page and donate.  If not, please eat at one of the restaurants listed so the community can get money to the family to help them navigate through this terrible heartbreaking experience.  In addition to your financial support a few prayers would be appreciated by the family.
